Work Biography
I have worn many hats during the 11 years that I have been in the internet business.
I began my Web career as a software User Interface Designer and Web UI Designer, then migrated to full-time Web design with an expanded role in presentation layer development. Eventually, I moved on to project management and client relations before returning to front-end development.
My latest role is as Web Team Lead for a multi-year external Web expansion project – a joint effort of RAND's IT and the Web Communications Group (WCG). In this capacity, I am in charge of business unit and WCG requirements gathering, producing functional requirements that will be used as the foundation for new technology implementation, and overseeing the design phase of new application build-outs.
When I'm not at work, you'll find me wearing yet another hat – a race helmet. I am a weekend drag racer as well as an avid old home restorer and landscape gardener.
When time allows I also enjoy volunteering at the Pittsburgh Food Bank and Western Pennsylvania Nature Conservancy. Whether at work or at home, it seems that I've always got a project underway.
